What does DJ do at B&L? Some say she talks a lot, but she says she has to since she is the trainer of the different software modules. DJ's expertise lies in the production side, however, she is also proficient in the accounting areas. DJ has also put together the training documents so that the trainees have something to follow along with during the training. Her experience is unique in that she has used most of the B&L software modules in her previous employment. DJ has worked as a Software Implementer (BLIS-400) and EDI Coordinator for a Die Caster. She also worked in a foundry as the Master Scheduler, which included the customer service area, and product and core inventory.

DJ enjoys spending time with her family, bowling, being a Girl Scout leader and too many other things to list.

Jay's primary responsibility is the management of Odyssey implementation projects. Jay, along with Tara McKibben, handles client data conversion and customer data related projects. Jay currently is leading our SaaS (Software as a Service) deployment effort. Prior to coming to B&L Jay served as an application manager and software implementation manager for a large consumer products company. His experience working with and deploying applications like SAP, Kronos WorkForce, and Indus PassPort has provided Jay a wealth of experience in application integration that he utilizes as he assists our clients in the implementation of the foundry industries leading ERP application, Odyssey.

Jay was raised in Southwest Michigan, attended nearby Lakeshore High School, and has a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University.

Kris is responsible for helping clients implement Odyssey, from sending the software through go-live. This includes developing a project plan, training, meeting with clients, consulting, cutover planning, and being there for go-live and after. Her primary focus is in the financial area; i.e., general ledger, financials, AP, AR, standard costs. Forecasting, margin analysis, shipping, invoicing are other areas of expertise. Kris has an extensive background in accounting, order processing, purchasing, and human resources in the plastics industry.

Kris enjoys being with her family, reading, biking, golf, and other outside activities.

Doug has about 30 years of experience in programming, design, and management. He started at B&L in 1989 as a Software Development Engineer to lead the rewrite to BLIS-400. Later he was promoted to R&D Manager and is currently VP of R&D, which is the same as R&D Manager except for the business cards. He is currently in charge of all software product development which includes BLIS, Odyssey, and related add-on products.

Doug has been married to Rhonda for 28 years, which means she is very tolerant. They put two sons through college and a third will graduate in the spring of 2010, which means they are broke. When not at work Doug enjoys history and working with wood, which is an attempt to get as far away from computers as possible.

Carol has been with B&L since 1983. During those years she has done most everything from programming, project management, training, telephone support, to anything else that needed to get done. Prior to B&L, she worked at a metalcasting facility, so she is familiar with the industry we serve. The last fifteen years or so she has worked in the R&D department designing and developing the software, starting with BLIS and then moving to the Odyssey project.

In her spare time she enjoys water gardening and loves to travel.
