Maintenance Release 3 Offers Customer Suggested Enhancements

 

Bridgman, MI, March 5, 2014 - B&L Information Systems, the leader in ERP software for foundries and die casters, has launched Odyssey 4.6 MR3 for general availability. For clients who host Odyssey on their own servers, MR3 download information is available through B&L's customer portal. SaaS clients will be contacted by B&L's Technology Department with the update schedule.

The B&L Customer Feedback Forum provided seven of the enhancements to MR3. The development of the Customer Feedback Forum was originally spearheaded by Vice President - Business Development, Matt Gacek and Joe Harmon, Vice President - Technology & Support. Gacek noted this customer-focused initiative is critical, "Addressing the specialized needs of our clients is an important part of B&L's continuing growth. The best way to anticipate needs in the metalcasting industry is to listen to our clients' feedback."
 Among the notable enhancements to Odyssey 4.6 MR3:
  1.  Product Demand Analysis Screen now allows a simplified scheduling of shop orders.
  2.  Secure FTP Transfers are supported for ease of e-commerce transactions.
  3.  The A/P Aging screen can be exported in multiple, commonly used formats.

Odyssey users can update from any version of Odyssey to Odyssey 4.6. The Installation Questionnaire Form on B&L's website will help clients with the 4.6 upgrade process. User Installation Instructions for Odyssey 4.6

Below is a link to an installation questionnaire form that you will need to complete before B&L can schedule your installation. It is imperative that you provide all of the requested information so that B&L's Support Team can verify that your system meets the prerequisites for the Odyssey 4.6 installation.

Please supply three preferred dates, in order of preference, and indicate any circumstances, such as plant shutdown, that makes one date preferable to the others. As always, B&L will schedule the upgrades in the order that they are received, while making every effort to accommodate special circumstances.
