NEWLY ACQUIRED FACILITIES UPGRADE TO ODYSSEY SaaS
Metal Technologies, Inc. Places New Acquisitions on Odyssey

Bridgman, MI, March 25, 2014 - B&L Information Systems, the leader in ERP software for foundries and die casters, is proud to announce the Odyssey ERP system has been selected to provide data and operational integration for Metal Technologies, Inc.'s recent acquisitions.

Current B&L Information Systems (B&L) client, Metal Technologies Inc. (MTI) announced their acquisition of Key 3 Castings LLC in late December of 2013. This strategic acquisition included two aluminum die cast plants and one iron foundry.

Headquartered in Auburn, Indiana, MTI uses B&L's BLIS-400 software to support three iron foundries. The operations acquired from Key 3 Castings did not have an ERP in place. To help standardize information between the three new locations and transition their operations into the MTI family, B&L's Odyssey software was selected. Odyssey's ability to handle both foundry and die cast operations was a key component of the decision, as was Odyssey's Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

Joe Harmon, B&L's Vice-President - Technology & Support, explained how SaaS would benefit MTI, "Using Odyssey in the B&L Cloud means MTI will have lower initial costs and the ability to quickly transition the new operations to the ERP software package."

MTI is in the planning phase to transition their locations which are using BLIS-400 to Odyssey, after the initial Odyssey software roll-out at the former Key 3 Castings operations.
