Odyssey 4.6 Updated with Enhancements

Maintenance Release 6 Now Available

Bridgman, MI, September 18, 2014 – B&L Information Systems, the leader in ERP software for foundries and die casters, has launched Odyssey 4.6 MR6 for general availability. For clients who host Odyssey on their own servers, MR6 download information is available through B&L’s customer portal. SaaS clients will be contacted by B&L’s Technology Department with the update schedule.

Brad Clark, Odyssey Product Manager, announced Odyssey 4.6 MR6 features Native Label enhancements based on client feedback about labels and printers, including:

A preview option for labels printed to a Zebra printer, so that the preview visually represents what will be printed.
The added ability to copy a label. This copy can be either within the same company or to another company.

Significant additional enhancements to Odyssey 4.6 MR6 include:

Clock added to Quick Clock, Shop Floor Manager sign-in and Shop Floor Manager
Data Views and Intelligent Views now support date keywords for queries
- Data Explorer has been enhanced to allow using a date keyword within a data view's query.
- Date keywords have been available for data view parameters for several releases, but this MR6 enhancement expands the capabilities.

Odyssey users can update from any version of Odyssey to Odyssey 4.6. The Installation Questionnaire Form on B&L's website will help clients with the 4.6 upgrade process. Any assistance needed in the update process is free for any client on maintenance with B&L. User Installation Instructions for Odyssey 4.6

Below is a link to an installation questionnaire form that you will need to complete before B&L can schedule your installation. It is imperative that you provide all of the requested information so that B&L's Support Team can verify that your system meets the prerequisites for the Odyssey 4.6 installation.

Please supply three preferred dates, in order of preference, and indicate any circumstances, such as plant shutdown, that makes one date preferable to the others. As always, B&L will schedule the upgrades in the order that they are received, while making every effort to accommodate special circumstances.
