B&L EXPANDS ROSTER OF CLASS OFFERINGS

Adds Additional Sessions and a New Class

Bridgman, MI, August 18, 2015 - B&L Information Systems, global leader in ERP software for foundries and die casters, has announced new Odyssey education opportunities for the fall. In addition to B&L's premier Odyssey education opportunity, Spectrum, which will be hosted in Minneapolis, B&L will be hosting fall classes in Odyssey Accounting, and on Odyssey Production Management and Inventory Control at their Bridgman, Michigan office.

The October 13th and 14th, 2015 Odyssey Accounting class builds off the Odyssey system settings and is designed for new Odyssey clients or clients interested in more day-to-day accounting education. Topics to be covered include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Statements, General Ledger and Sales Analysis. This class will include Odyssey system settings; an in-depth look at the finance modules; hands-on module training and assistance building company-specific financial statements.

The new two-day Introduction to Manufacturing and Inventory Applications class will focuses on the Odyssey Production Management and Inventory Control modules. Attendees will spend hands-on time creating product and core routings, bills of materials and cross-referencing. A review of production basics will include: the principles of production screen designs, production transactions and tracking inventory. The class sessions will also touch on Shop Floor Manager screens, Quality Viewer, and production reports. Demonstrations of creating shop orders and capacities, as well as a light overview of scheduling basics are included. The class will be offered in Windows User Interface on October 20th - 21st, 2015 and in the browser-based Web User Interface on November 3rd - 4th, 2015.

B&L is also hosting Odyssey Crystal Reports class in November, as well as an Odyssey Boot Camp class later the same week. Additionally, this September 27th thru 29th, B&L will host Spectrum in Minneapolis.

"B&L's fall class schedule kicks off with Spectrum, which is B&L's premier educational and networking event. During Spectrum, B&L's customers learn from B&L staff on a variety of Odyssey topics during informal sessions. Spectrum's multi-class structure allows attendees to explore a selection of classes in Odyssey areas of use to them," says Kristine Craft, Manager - Professional Services. "In contrast, during on-site classes at B&L's Bridgman office, our professional trainers and ERP implementation staff deep-dive and go hands-on for specific, focused topics such as: complete overviews of Odyssey, which would be the Odyssey Boot Camp; or finance in the Odyssey Accounting class; or how to create and work with Crystal Reports in the Odyssey Crystal Reports class."

"Our Professional Service team interacts daily with customer training requests and implementation training. The development of new classes, like the new Introduction to Manufacturing and Inventory Applications class, starts with listening to what customers need and creating a class which fills that need," Craft continues. "This is not the last class we'll be announcing! B&L is committed developing the education and training options that best serve customers."

Advanced registration is required as space for each class is limited. More information about the new classes may be found at the Special Classes page of B&L's website.
