Training

Once your information has been converted (see Professional Services), we will start your training.  Your training program and training schedule are customized to your specific needs.  Having installed software in over 400 foundries and die casters has given us the knowledge we need to help you successfully implement our software.  What have we learned?

Whenever possible relate the new way to the old way!  We have found  that people relate better – and understand more – when the old way of doing things is related to the new way of doing things.  This is why we train using your data.  Additionally, we have found it helpful to train people not just with the “how to do” an activity in our software but also the why!

Utilize Numerous Training Tools.  Different people learn in different ways and often it takes different methods and repetition to ensure solid understanding.  When training we encourage our customers to leverage various tools we provide, including: user-defined help documentation, web-based training videos, hands-on simulations (i.e. practice libraries), and other training tools.

Communicate, Communicate, and Communicate!!!! This is perhaps the most overlooked key point we have listed.  On day one, discuss with your employees the upcoming changes.  As new business processes and changes are defined, keep your employees in the loop so they are not blindsided by sudden changes.  We have found when employees are kept "in the loop," they are more open to change and to learning new software.

Flexible Training Venues - Our training venues include:

  • On-Site Training - Held at your facility, B&L instructors conduct training courses designed specifically for your organization.
  • Classroom Training at B&L - This allows the student to become totally immersed in the software, away from email and other distractions.
  • Web Based Training - Utilizing the Internet, we can connect with your computer and perform mini-classes to educate end-users.
