Staff Additions at B&L Information Systems

Two Join the Bridgman-based ERP Firm

Bridgman, Michigan, October 28, 2019 – B&L Information Systems, global leader in ERP for metalcasters, is proud to announce staff additions in two departments.

Jonny Appel has joined the Technology & Support Department as Software Support Representative and will be focused on providing support for technical problem resolution on the Odyssey ERP System as part of the Customer Support Desk team. Appel has an extensive background in team management and customer satisfaction within several service industries. A US Navy veteran, Appel is currently completing a degree in Web App Development with Lake Michigan College.

Jim Eaton has joined B&L’s Business Development Department as the department’s manager. He will be focused on bringing the value of Odyssey to additional metalcasting facilities throughout North America. Eaton has more than 11 years of experience in executive sales management for a leading safety manufacturer. He has also worked in product development and manufacturing engineering. Eaton holds an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.

“Making sure we have the optimum staffing at the right levels to meet our customer’s needs is critical to the support B&L provides within the metalcasting industry,” stated Philip Laney, CEO, B&L Information Systems. “Our newest hires round out two of the critical customer-facing departments in B&L: Business Development, which helps foundries and die casters choose Odyssey and supports customers in determining Odyssey expansion needs; and the Customer Support Desk, which helps B&L customers in their day-to-day use of their ERP system and Odyssey’s functions. We are pleased Jim and Jonny have joined the B&L team.”
